Mewaspadai Pemanis Buatan Aspartame di Makanan dan Minuman Kemasan

Saat ini banyak sekali makanan dan minuman kemasan yang dijual di super market yang mengandung Pemanis Buatan seperti Aspartame. Contohnya seperti Nescafe, Diet Coke (Coca Cola), dan sebagainya.

Aspartam adalah pemanis buatan yang dibuat oleh Monsanto dan dijual dengan berbagai merek seperti NutraSweet, AminoSweet, Spoonful, Equal, Canderel, dsb.

Sayangnya sering komposisi yang bertuliskan Aspartam tersebut begitu kecil sehingga sulit dibaca oleh orang-orang dewasa presbyopia yang berusia di atas 40 tahun.

Walau pun oleh FDA dan juga BPPOM Aspartam dinyatakan aman, toh Aspartam sangat kontroversial.

Cori Brackett menderita kelumpuhan dan tidak bisa bicara setelah rutin meminum Diet Coke yang mengandung Aspartam. Dia menduga Aspartam penyebab penyakitnya dan mendokumentasikannya dalam Film: “Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World” pada tahun 2004.

Olney JW, Farber NB, Spitznagel E, dan Robins LN dari Fakultas Kedokteran Washington University menemukan bahwa dari tahun 1975 hingga 1992 terjadi peningkatan penyakit Tumor Otak hingga 10% dari jumlah penduduk AS. Data tersebut didapat dari National Cancer Institute. Mereka mempertanyakan adakah hubungan kenaikan penderita Tumor Otak di AS dengan pemakaian Aspartam di sana.

Aktivis anti-aspartame Betty Martini mengumpulkan pernyataan bahwa Aspartam menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan seperti multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus, methanol toxicity, blindness, spasms, shooting pains, seizures, sakit kepala, depresi, kecemasan, memory loss, gangguan janin dan kematian pada pemakaian dosis normal.

Pada tahun 2005 lalu, Yayasan Ramazzini Eropa (Eurropean Ramazzini Foundation/ERF) mempublikasikan penemuannya berdasarkan studi pemberian makan aspartame jangka panjang pada tikus. Penelitian dari ERF ini menyimpulkan bahwa aspartame menyebabkan kanker dan menyarankan penggunaan dan konsumsi pemanis sebaiknya dievaluasi kembali.

Meski 13 Ahli Kesehatan dari Ramazzini Institut menanda-tangani surat terbuka ke CSPI dan FDA bahwa pemakaian Aspartam harusnya dievaluasi kembali, Namun otoritas keamanan makanan FDA dan lainnya menolak.

Namun…setelah Otoritas Keamanan Makanan Eropa (European Food Safety Authority/ EFSA) meninjau kembali hasil penelitian ERF. EFSA menyatakan bahwa kesimpulan ERF yang menyatakan aspartame bersifat karsinogenik (penyebab kanker) tidak didukung oleh data dan tidak perlu meninjau pendapat peneliti ERFyang meragukan keamanan aspartame, apalagi merepisi hasupan harian yang diperbolehkan (Acceptance Dailly Intake).

Para peneliti di Ramazzini dengan menggunakan hewan percobaan yang diberi Aspartam menemukan bahwa binatang tersebut beberapa tahun kemudian terkena berbagai penyakit seperti Kanker. Pada manusia yang lebih besar, tentu efeknya lebih lama bisa 10 tahun lebih.

Namun pada anak-anak yang beratnya hanya 1/4 orang dewasa efeknya tentu lebih cepat. Apalagi meski batas aman Aspartam adalah 40 mg/1 kg berat badan, namun jika anak tersebut memakan 4 bungkus makanan/minuman beraspartam setiap hari, akan kena bahaya juga.

Mengingat Kontroversialnya Aspartam, ada baiknya kita hati-hati. Meski berbagai lembaga pengawas makanan seperti FDA menganggapnya aman, namun kelompok anti aspartam tidak begitu. Mereka menuduh karena Aspartam sangat murah, maka industri makanan yang nilainya ribuan trilyun rupiah/tahun mempunyai lobi/pengaruh yang kuat.

Saat ini 1 dari 10 penduduk AS sudah terkena kanker otak. Kita tidak tahu 10 tahun ke depan bagaimana. Namun dampak kimia dari makan yang dimakan kadang baru puluhan tahun kemudian diketahui. Contohnya penyakit Minamata yang disebabkan oleh makanan laut yang tercemar Merkuri di Jepang, baru diketahui 30 tahun kemudian. Banyak orang mengalami kelumpuhan, buta, tuli, dan mati karena penyakit itu.

Jadi sebaiknya kita hati-hati. Jangan sampai 10-20 tahun kemudian, baru para ahli kesehatan menemukan bahwa Aspartam ternyata menyebabkan penyakit kanker. Padahal kita dan anak-anak kita sudah banyak makan makanan yang mengandung aspartam.

Bagi para produsen makanan, apa susahnya sih pakai pemanis alami seperti gula tebu, gula aren, madu, dan sebagainya? Atau tidak pakai pemanis sama sekali.

Selain pemanis kimia, waspadai juga perasa kimia, pewarna kimia, dan pengawet kimia pada makanan karena umumnya berbahaya. Mungkin bahayanya tidak langsung terasa. Namun dalam beberapa tahun bisa menimbulkan berbagai penyakit seperti kanker, migrain, lupus, dan sebagainya. Hindari makanan yang diproses kimia yang dijual di supermarket-supermarket. Seorang Barat bilang, jika dalam 1 minggu makanan tersebut tidak membusuk, maka makanan tersebut racun karena bakteri pembusuk saja tidak mau memakannya.

Abstract
In the past two decades brain tumor rates have risen in several industrialized countries, including the United States. During this time, brain tumor data have been gathered by the National Cancer Institute from catchment areas representing 10% of the United States population. In the present study, we analyzed these data from 1975 to 1992 and found that the brain tumor increases in the United States occurred in two distinct phases, an early modest increase that may primarily reflect improved diagnostic technology, and a more recent sustained increase in the incidence and shift toward greater malignancy that must be explained by some other factor(s). Compared to other environmental factors putatively linked to brain tumors, the artificial sweetener aspartame is a promising candidate to explain the recent increase in incidence and degree of malignancy of brain tumors. Evidence potentially implicating aspartame includes an early animal study revealing an exceedingly high incidence of brain tumors in aspartame-fed rats compared to no brain tumors in concurrent controls, the recent finding that the aspartame molecule has mutagenic potential, and the close temporal association (aspartame was introduced into US food and beverage markets several years prior to the sharp increase in brain tumor incidence and malignancy). We conclude that there is need for reassessing the carcinogenic potential of aspartame.

Minamata disease (水俣病 Minamata-byō?), sometimes referred to as Chisso-Minamata disease (チッソ水俣病 Chisso-Minamata-byō?), is a neurological syndrome caused by severe mercury poisoning. Symptoms include ataxia, numbness in the hands and feet, general muscle weakness, narrowing of the field of vision and damage to hearing and speech. In extreme cases, insanity, paralysis, coma and death follow within weeks of the onset of symptoms. A congenital form of the disease can also affect fetuses in the womb.
Minamata disease was first discovered in Minamata city in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan in 1956. It was caused by the release of methylmercury in the industrial wastewater from the Chisso Corporation’s chemical factory, which continued from 1932 to 1968. This highly toxic chemical bioaccumulated in shellfish and fish in Minamata Bay and the Shiranui Sea, which when eaten by the local populace resulted in mercury poisoning. While cat, dog, pig, and human deaths continued over more than 30 years, the government and company did little to prevent the pollution.
As of March 2001, 2,265 victims had been officially recognised (1,784 of whom had died)[1] and over 10,000 had received financial compensation from Chisso.[2] By 2004, Chisso Corporation had paid $86 million in compensation, and in the same year was ordered to clean up its contamination.[3] On March 29, 2010, a settlement was reached to compensate as-yet uncertified victims.[4]

What you should know

Aspartame, also marketed as Nutrasweet, Spoonful, Canderel and Equal as well as being a common additive in many foods and drinks (sometimes shown as the E number E951). Aspartame acts as a sugar replacement.
The EPA announced that there is an epidemic of Multiple Sclerosis and Systemic Lupus and they did not know what toxin was causing this to be rampant across the US. Scientists have now found the answer to this question – Aspartame.
ASPARTAME. In temperatures exceeding 86 degrees F. the wood alcohol in Aspartame converts to Formaldehyde, and then to Formic Acid. Patients with methanol toxicity caused by drinking 3-4 Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi per day, have been caused to have MS or Systemic Lupus symptoms. In Systemic Lupus and MS case triggers by Aspartame, the victim is unaware that Aspartame is the culprit but continued use, in the case of Lupus, can be life threatening. On stopping Aspartame these patients usually lose all or most of their symptoms. Unfortunately the disease cannot be reversed.

Symptoms of Aspartame Disease are: Fibromylagia symptoms, spasms, shooting pains, cramps, vertigo, numbness in the legs, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, blindness and memory loss. Formaldehyde is classed with chemicals like Arsenic and Cyanide – DEADLY POISONS!
Kills as surely as the other two, only slower and causes all kinds of neurological problems. It changes the brain’s chemistry and is a reason for severe seizures. According to the College of Physicians, the Phenylalanine in Aspartame depletes Serotonin, and causes manic depression, panic attacks, rage and violence.

Aspartame is especially deadly for Diabetics, as it makes the food sugar level go out of control causing patients to suffer severe memory loss, coma and death. The memory loss is due to the fact that Aspartic Acid and Phenylalanine are neurotoxic without the other amino acids found in protein. Thus it goes past the blood brain barrier and deteriorates the neurons of the brain. Dr Russell Blaylock, neurosurgeon, said “The ingredients stimulate the neurons of the brain to death, causing brain damage of varying degrees”. Aspartame disease is rampant in the US, and most probably in 90 other countries (Including the UK and most of Europe) where over 5000 products containing Aspartame are sold. Aspartame Disease could also be to blame for Gulf War Syndrome. Several thousand pallets of diet drinks were stored and consumed in the heat of 120 degrees F (remember the heat liberates the methanol at 86 degrees F) Most Gulf War Syndrome symptoms are identical to Aspartame Poisoning. Dr. H. J. Roberts, world expert on Aspartame poisoning, says it also escalates Alzheimer’s disease. Women as young as 30 are admitted to hospices with Alzheimer’s disease! Dr Roberts also says that consuming Aspartame during conception can cause birth defects. According to Dr. Louis Elsas. Paediatrician Professor of Genetics the Phenylalanine concentrates in the placenta causing mental retardation. Another neurosurgeon said that when brain tumours were removed, high levels of Aspartame were found in them. Aspartame makes you crave carbohydrates, and stores in the fatty tissue, so even though it is used as a diet aid, it actually makes you FAT!

MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame (the largest G M food company) knows all about the dangers, they fund the American Diabetics Association, Congress, and the Conference of the American College of Physicians. As proven in 1996, the American Diabetic Association takes money from the food industry to endorse their products. Therefore they cannot criticise MONSANTO. A bill that tried to warn people about the dangers of ASPARTAME, was killed off by the powerful drug and chemical lobbies, letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting public. And that includes all of us here in the UK! – Having read this, would you trust MONSANTO’S GM food?

So, if it’s labelled “Sugar Free” – DON’T HAVE IT!
